Direct courier or overnight

Direct courier or overnight: compare direct and overnight

Direct and overnight services solve two different timing needs. A direct run is designed for a direct transport flow. Overnight plans requested delivery for the following calendar day.

In brief

Direct courier or overnight: when does it fit?

You do not need to choose only by speed. Collection time, destination timing and route all matter. The price calculator shows the available options.

Direct is not automatically the better choice. Overnight may fit when the following day is sufficient. The available times in the system are decisive.

A direct run fits when the shipment should travel to the destination without planned storage in between. Overnight is more suitable when delivery on the next calendar day is sufficient.

Both options are checked against the entered route. Before completion, you can see which time windows are available and the indicative price for each option.

Direct and overnight

Direct and overnight

A direct run uses the real road travel time plus routing reserve and handover time. Pickup and requested delivery must both fit within the same calendar day; otherwise choose an earlier pickup time or Overnight. With Overnight, requested delivery is exclusively on the immediately following calendar day. Only released time windows apply; storage across additional days is not offered. The minimum lead time sets only the first bookable pickup day.

Use matching shipment details Compare services using the same addresses and shipment information. Otherwise, price differences may also come from the route or vehicle class.
